Challenges

The school has had success in telling its story to prospective students and increasing enrollment. In our effort to expand this program, we will pursue additional development support to help fund our 35% first generation students.

While we are challenged with the rapid change in business higher education, in 2025 the Marian School of Business added Artificial Intelligence to its core curriculum and hosted its third annual AI research competition. We believe being agile and strategic will continue to separate and distinguish us from other business programs.

Goals and Objectives

We will continue to advance the school's culture, driven by our Franciscan value of Dignity of the Individual. And we want to attract and retain a strong team built around connecting with students and stakeholders. This includes:

  • Delivering Academic Excellence by launching a graduate business program in Strategic Management,
  • Developing resources to support student scholarships to advance Access and Success and advance key programs, and
  • Continuing to optimize Enrollment and Brand Identity.

Why This Matters to Marian's Mission

The Marian School of Business is driven by our vision “To achieve excellence in educating and forming transformational business leaders who are trustworthy, healthy, inquisitive, and skilled.” By connecting to our students and stakeholders, we will build greatness, just as St. Francis did when he was called upon to rebuild the Church by the power of God.

“Going to 91会所 has been one of the best decisions of my life. It was here, at this catholic institution, that I was able to make meaningful connections with faculty that will last a lifetime. At Marian, all my professors knew me on a personal level. They served as mentors, stayed after class to answer questions, cheered me on in athletics and everything else in between. These connections gave me opportunities I do not believe I would have had anywhere else. I was chosen by professors to compete in the National Student Advertising Competition and to be a presenter in two consulting Analytics business courses. From these experiences I became highly competitive in the job market which led to my acceptance into the Orr Fellowship and my career at Genesys. I believe it was the caring and passionate faculty that provided me with the agency to be successful.”
